One Law was announced to God’s people. Equal treatment under Law. The Elite, though ex slaves rose up in protest.
The instigation was the capital punisment in the case of “five, six, pick up sticks,” Sabbath day violation, to
do nearly useless work. Isn’t that the way with us. Set aside the Godly life to pursue nearly nothing.
The stick picker upper profaned the Holy in a Holy theocracy. What if we opposed voter participation in our unholy democracy.

was for Mr. Sticklover. He got his trial and his sentencing, and, now he is hobnobbing with the tormentors of the underworld
with Divies the Rich Man at whose gate Lazarus begged.
But now the government will get a trial at the court of super elite opinion and be found wanting. In a theocracy the government
is, you guessed it, Theos, God in a classical language. Oh darn, This government knows how to take care of and establish itself.
The revolutionaries hadn’t heard Gemaliel’s advice: Let these men go lest you be found fighting against God. John
and Peter similar to Moses and Aaron this way.
Chapter 17 will talk of ruler-high-priest Aaron’s culpability in all of this. Did he himself not lead the people
in Rebellion, Forging a Golden Calf and calling it “our god.” Did he himself not with Miriam oppose Moses because
of fear of Moses’ black African wife. But God gave, in exchange for Aaron’s failure, mercy to allow as many as
possible a chance to abandon the illfated revolution.

Direct Divine intervention in the conflict. Moses and Aaron’s hands should be clean, right? Wrong, the outraged public
led a new rebellion against Moses and Aaron’s perceived barbarity. Rebellion in the air, very contagious, isn’t
This time God burst upon them, kid gloves hardly working, and the plague began and only Moses swift action stopped
a complete annihilation of the nation. (Can God be bad cop to Moses good cop.)
Revolution. Just what is it? The aims and the methodology of it?
